FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY ASSESSMENTS

Our team are very experienced in completing FCA's that capture the clients full functional capacity across all domains. We ensure that our language and layout is in line with NDIS standards

DEVELOPMENTAL ASSESSMENTS

We are able to provide thorough developmental assessments to support you on your child's diagnostic journey.

Neuro-Affirming

As neuro-affirming occupational therapists, we celebrate and support neurodiversity. We tailor our approach to meet the unique strengths and needs of each child, focusing on empowering them to thrive in ways that honour their natural neurological differences, such as autism, ADHD, and other neurodivergent experiences.

Activities of Daily Living

We support children in gaining independence with essential daily tasks such as dressing, toileting, eating, and personal hygiene. Our goal is to build the necessary skills and confidence for children to participate in everyday life activities more independently.

Executive Functioning

Executive functioning therapy helps children develop the cognitive processes needed to plan, organise, and complete tasks. We assist with improving memory, attention, problem-solving, and time management, all critical for learning and day-to-day functioning.

Reflex Integration

Reflex integration focuses on helping children process primitive reflexes, which may interfere with development if not properly integrated. We support children in achieving smoother movement patterns, greater body control, and better posture for more efficient motor function.

Sensory Intergration

We specialise in sensory integration, helping children process and respond to sensory input more effectively. Our therapy supports children in managing how they experience the world through their senses, helping them regulate and improve attention, behaviour, and emotional well-being

School Readiness

We help children develop the essential skills they need to succeed in a school environment. Our therapy supports areas such as fine motor skills (e.g., writing), social interaction, emotional regulation, and the ability to follow routines, preparing them for a smooth transition to school life.

Emotional Regulation

We assist children in recognising, understanding, and managing their emotions in healthy ways. We also support those around the children (families, teachers etc) to understand their role in co-regulation and how we can support children's overall well-being.

Mental Health Support

We provide a holistic approach to mental health, recognising the connection between mental and physical well-being. Our support includes helping children manage anxiety, build self-esteem, and develop social-emotional skills in a safe, nurturing environment.

Culturally Sensitive

We are committed to respecting and honouring Indigenous cultures. Our approach integrates Indigenous cultural practices and knowledge, ensuring that therapy is culturally relevant and respectful. We work closely with Indigenous families to provide care that reflects their unique cultural values and traditions.

Motor Skill Development

We are able to support the development of motor skills to help children perform tasks that require both fine motor (small muscle movements, like grasping objects) gross motor skills (large movements, like running or jumping) and visual motor (like hand eye coordination).

Interoception

We focus on helping children better understand and respond to their internal bodily signals, such as hunger, thirst, or the need for the bathroom. This area of therapy enhances their ability to recognise and respond to their own physical and emotional states.

Life Transitions

We support children and families during significant life changes, such as finishing school, moving to a new home or finding a job. Our goal is to foster independence and collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition.
